The Mauviel 1830 M’Heritage cookware features cookware set made of two powerful and traditional materials—copper and stainless steel. Products under this line are made of 90 percent copper and 10 percent 18/10 stainless steel.
There are three M’Heritage types, according to thickness:
1.) The thickest of the three is the M250C, which is characterized by a copper skin 2.5mm thick. Pans under this line have cast iron handles.
2.) The next grade is those that have a copper skin 2.0mm thick. Unlike those in the M250C line, these pans have stainless steel handles.
3.) The last grade of pans is the M150C, with a copper skin 1.5mm thick. These pans, meanwhile, have bronze handles.
While the pans under the Mauviel 1830 Heritage line aren’t cheap by any standards, they do have a lot of advantages that have made them very popular among chefs and homemakers.
One is that these pans can heat up quickly on an electric stove, as compared to a cast iron or stainless steel skillet.
Food cooked in these pans also doesn’t stick to the pans. Moreover, cleaning is a breeze as users simply have to soak the cookware in lukewarm water for at least five minutes. Food leftover then starts to come off the pan when sponge is applied to it.
All M’Heritage cookware can be used in the oven, as well as with any type of stove (gas and electric). You can also use them on an induction stove although you need to buy its special disk for that purpose.
