The countdown to 5 p.m. (or 4 … or 3, let’s be real, we’re in Charleston) is on. And if you’re like us, you’re already thirsty as hell. We’ve rounded up all things beer (and we do mean all) this weekend and organized the frothy fun by location so you can beer hop in your ‘hood. Cheers.
Cooper River Brewing Co. hosts Dough Boyz Pizza Co. from 4-10 p.m. tonight and Herd Provisions from 1-7 p.m. on Sunday. You can now buy six packs of Golden Ale at the brewery, and get Crowlers of any beer on tap for $8.
Speaking of pizza … Fatty’s Beerworks is also serving up wood-fired pizzas from First Name Basis tonight starting at 5 p.m.
Palmetto Brewing has live music every Friday and Saturday starting at 6 p.m. Tonight you can check out The Carousers and The Lowhills and tomorrow jam to Chattanooga’s Masseuse.
There’s even more live music at Revelry Brewing, with Deadwin playing from 6-9 p.m. tonight Snag some eats from Revelry’s new semi-permanent food truck, Tobo Sushi. Here’s their menu.
West Ashley/James Island/Johns Island
Twisted Cypress Brewing Co. has several events this weekend: Head to the brewery tonight for the release of Cypress’ coffee porter, a porter created with Twisted Cypress Coffee Haus’ coffee, roasted by the Charleston Coffee Exchange. The brewery opens at 4 p.m. tonight. On Saturday at 10:15 a.m. head to CBR Brew Bolt, co-hosted by the Charleston Beer Runners, for a 5K around West Ashley, ending at the brewery where you can snag $1 off pints. Also on Saturday, stick around for live music from Fleming Moore, an Americana artist, at 4 p.m.
Charles Towne Fermentory hosts a 2Nixons ramen pop-up tonight from 5-8 p.m. On Saturday jam to live music from Derek Cribb, 7-10 p.m. The brewery opens at noon and you can grab bites of tapas, sandwiches, and entrees from The Castejons who will be in the kitchen all day.
Tradesmen Brewing Co. has food truck El Pincho Taco on deck tonight, 5-8 p.m. Tomorrow the brewery opens at noon and Grill Force One dishes out food, 4-8 p.m. On Sundays, starting at noon, F&B workers are offered a 30 percent discount. Psst, if you’re a teacher, you can bring your ID in all summer (well, what’s left of it), for 10 percent off, too.
Frothy Beard re-releases its Belgian wit, Great White Wit tomorrow starting at 11 a.m., in honor of Shark Week. Also on Saturday, listen to live music from Red Cedar Review from 7-10 p.m. More live music from Tyler Boone hits the brewery on Sunday starting at noon; you can also indulge in some beer-mosas and breakfast pizzas from Frothy’s in-house pizza joint, Zombie Bob’s.
Low Tide Brewing offers two chances for fitness and frothiness this weekend: on Saturday at 11 a.m. get down with Suds & Savanasa ($10/yoga, $15/yoga and a pint) and on Sunday Charleston Get Fit hosts Burpees & Brews ($15) at 11 a.m. Stick around on Sunday for food from Grill Force One.
Two Blokes Brewing taps a keg of a collaboration beer, Log Tosser, made with Common House Ale Works, tonight. You can also snag food from BKed food truck; the brewery opens at 3 p.m. On Saturday you can snag food from Al’s Barkers hot dogs starting at noon and food from Semilla at 4 p.m. The Itinerant Literate bookstore will also be on deck from 3-10 p.m. Phew!
Ghost Monkey Brewery hosts yoga with Bendy Brewski yoga tomorrow at 10:15 a.m. ($15/class and beer, $12/yoga). Stick around from 3-7 p.m. for a pop-up kitchen from Persimmon Cafe. On Sunday Boxcar Betty’s serves up food from 2-6 p.m. and summer-themed trivia kicks off at 3 p.m.
Pigman Goods serves up hot dogs from noon-6 p.m. at Westbrook Brewing Company on Saturday.
Snafu Brewing Company hosts Persimmon Cafe tonight from 4-8 p.m.
Freehouse Brewery features lives music from Weigh Station tonight at 6 p.m. Grab food from Sabor CubaRican Cuisine, too; the tap room opens at 3 p.m. Tomorrow do a little yoga by the river at 11:30 a.m. ($15/yoga and pint). Starting at 4 p.m. jam to acoustic music and grab food from El Pinchotaco.
Oak Road Brewery puts on some yoga and beer at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow.
