Die-hard fans of Halo Top, listen up: The ice cream brand is releasing non-dairy and vegan flavors today. Halo Top Creamery, which is known for decadent flavors boasting up to 24 grams of protein and just 280 to 360 calories, turned seven of their low-calorie, high-protein flavors into non-dairy and vegan pints.
Rejoice with me!
When will the new line hit the freezer aisle of supermarkets? It’ll roll out nationwide in the middle of October. The flavors, which feature coconut milk in lieu of dairy milk, include Peanut Butter Cup, Chocolate, Oatmeal Cookie, Sea Salt Caramel, Caramel Macchiato, Cinnamon Roll, and Chocolate Covered Banana.
“The number-one request that we get from our fans is to make a non-dairy and vegan-friendly version of Halo Top. Whether you have to or choose to restrict dairy — or only eat vegan — we always want to make sure we listen to our fans,” Justin Woolverton, founder and CEO of Halo Top, says in a statement. “It took a long time to ‘get it right,’ but we’re absolutely thrilled with the outcome and can’t wait for our fans to try these flavors.”
In August, Halo Top announced the launch of seven new flavors. The additions to the lineup were Rainbow Swirl, Pancakes & Waffles, Cinnamon Roll, Candy Bar, Chocolate Covered Banana, Caramel Macchiato, and Mochi Green Tea. Additionally, the brand debuted a special flavor for fall: Pumpkin Pie.
Halo Top recently became the best-selling pint in U.S. grocery stores. According to Ad Age, Halo Top has experienced a 2,500 percent spike in sales from 2015 to 2016. This growth translates to more than 13.5 million pints sold.
