How do you use beeswax wraps?
When I first took my Abeego wraps out of the simple and informative package, I was a little skeptical as to how it would cover my food without me having putting some muscle into it! It just seemed a little too firm to the touch. So, I put it to the test on an avocado and I realized that it actually works and doesn’t require much effort like I thought it would.
The natural warmth and pressure from your hands will help the wrap cling to whatever you want to cover: a glass bowl, bunch of herbs, loaf of bread, you name it. I found that Abeego is durable and also won’t leave any sticky residue on your food or hands. Not to mention, the avocado I covered didn’t turn brown like they naturally do in a matter of minutes. Abeego kept that extra half of avocado looking fresh while allowing it to breathe.
You can also use it to help store other foods that sit out at room temperature, in the refrigerator or freezer. I’m a believer in Abeego wraps because they’re reusable. Unlike plastic wrap that is discarded, Abeego can be used over and over again. How do you care for Abeego?
It’s best to hand wash in cold water, preferably the coldest water you can possibly handle, with a mild dish soap. You don’t want to wash in warm or hot water because the beeswax will melt. Let Abeego hang dry or towel dry and store in a clean dry place folded or flat, away from any heat source.
When ready to store, you can keep them in a drawer, or roll them to store in a mason jar on your kitchen counter so they’re always in reach. You’ll have a hard time not liking this wax wrap, and you might never use plastic baggies again.

Personally, I think the prices are pretty reasonable considering that it replaces saran wrap and wax paper, and will last over a year.
