Watch Irish Folks Judge 4 Popular Pumpkin Desserts Americans Love

You’ve seen the hilarious Irish-people-trying-things YouTube series, right? If not, here’s a quick recap. They’ve tried Ben & Jerry’s, and they thought most of it was pretty OK. They’ve done Southern food and Texan cuisine, too. One of our favorites was watching them try American whiskey. Would you be proud to know one American whiskey tasted like cod liver and laptop case? We know we were.

The latest edition of this series, provided by the Facts. YouTube Channel, that we’ve seen is quite seasonal. It’s Irish folks trying pumpkin desserts, and it may be our favorite yet.

Pumpkin Hand Pies

Pumpkin Hand Pies are identified immediately as “pumpkin dumplings.” The hand pies smell divine, but the contents aren’t great. Not everyone likes the “paste” on the inside.

To this crew, pumpkin hand pies taste like something you might find at the beach. We applaud the creativity behind that description.

Pumpkin Ginger Cupcakes

The pumpkin ginger cupcakes our favorite crew tasted had swirls on the top. Those swirls were described as “baby Scottish.” No, we don’t know what that means.

The cupcakes smell like coffee, taste like toffee, and are also something to do with caramel. We believe the direct quote is “caramel flavors and niceness.” Oh, and it’s “almost grayish,” too.

Pumpkin Cookies

These pumpkin cookies, or “the top of a muffin,” look good. We have our own pumpkin spice cookie recipe that we’d be remiss not to brag about, though. We digress. These cookies have raisins, lovingly called “dead grapes,” and apparently don’t taste like pumpkin at all. No one loves them. Try our recipe instead.

Pumpkin Walnut Praline Tart

The pumpkin walnut praline tart doesn’t go over too well. We don’t want to give too much away, so we’ll leave you with a quote. “Weird. That’s a weird pie.”
